DANGER! BEWARE OF DOG!

When the stranger entered the little country store he noticed a sign saying "DANGER! BEWARE OF DOG!" posted on the door glass. Inside, he noticed a harmless old hound dog asleep on the floor near the cash register. He asked the store's owner "Is that the dog folks are supposed to beware of?" "Yep," the proprietor answered, "That's him." The stranger couldn't help being amused. "That certainly doesn't look like a dangerous dog to me," he chuckled. "Why in the world did you decide to post that sign?” “Because," the owner replied, "before I posted that sign, people kept tripping over him."

This story reminds me that we all need to watch where we walk or we too may fall over something that seems harmless. Apply Proverbs 4:12-16 to your life and walk and you will not stumble.

Prov 4:12‑16
12 When you walk, your steps will not be hampered; when you run, you will not stumble.
13 Hold on to instruction, do not let it go; guard it well, for it is your life.
14 Do not set foot on the path of the wicked or walk in the way of evil men.
15 Avoid it, do not travel on it; turn from it and go on your way.
